01Overview

What are managed security services?

Managed security services put the monitoring, detection, investigation and response of your security programme in the hands of a specialist team. They give you round-the-clock coverage and mature processes without hiring and retaining a full security operations centre.

The model suits organisations that cannot staff a 24/7 team, want to extend an existing one, or need a licensed provider to meet national requirements. It is delivered as a subscription with agreed service levels.

We combine four things: people who investigate, a security data lake that keeps the evidence, detection content tuned to your environment and clear reporting for leadership and auditors.

  • 24/7 monitoring and triage
  • Detection engineering
  • Incident escalation and playbooks
  • Compliance-ready reporting

What you receive

A functioning SOC without building one.

03How we operate

A continuous loop, not a project

Detection improves every cycle, because what we learn feeds back into the content.

  1. 01

    Collect

Telemetry from endpoints, network, cloud, identity and applications lands in the data lake.

  2. 02

    Detect

Rules, analytics and threat intelligence raise alerts.

  3. 03

    Triage

Analysts separate real threats from noise.

  4. 04

    Investigate

Search the full history to scope the incident.

  5. 05

    Contain

Isolate, block and remediate, with your approval rules.

  6. 06

    Improve

Tune detections and close the root cause.

04Choosing a service

06Saudi Arabia and the GCC

Managed security under Saudi rules

National licensing and sector rules shape who may run your SOC and where your data sits.

  • NCA

    NCA MSOC licensing

Managed SOC services are licensed by the NCA. Government bodies and critical national infrastructure operators must use a Tier 1 licensed provider, while other organisations can use Tier 1 or Tier 2. We tell you which applies before you commit.

  • NCA ECC

    Logging and monitoring controls

The ECC defines event logging and monitoring, incident management and threat management as control areas. Our reports give you the evidence.

  • SAMA

    SAMA operations and technology

Banks and insurers are expected to run mature security operations and incident handling, assessed through the SAMA maturity model.

  • PDPL

    Data residency

We agree where telemetry is stored and who can access it, with in-Kingdom options in line with the PDPL.

  • Language

    Arabic and English

Alerts, reports and incident briefings in both languages for your leadership and regulators.

  • Local

    Local escalation

Named contacts in Riyadh for escalation and on-site support across the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI)Cyber security

Enterprise-grade protection for a mission-critical engagement

SAMI engaged GoAgile to strengthen its cyber security posture with protection aligned to the rigorous security and compliance standards of its sector.

  • Strengthened the organization's cyber security posture
  • Delivered enterprise-grade protection aligned to sector security and compliance standards
Regional telecom operatorManaged detection and response

24/7 managed detection and response for a telecom operator

Alert volumes had outgrown the in-house team, and mean time to respond was too long.

  • Onboarded endpoint, network and identity telemetry
  • Tuned detections to the operator's environment
  • Defined escalation paths and response playbooks

Result: Fewer false positives, faster containment and weekly reporting the security leadership could act on.

Tier-1 Saudi bankRed team exercise

A threat-led red team exercise for a bank

The bank needed evidence that its people, processes and detection would hold up against a realistic attacker, in line with SAMA expectations.

  • Agreed rules of engagement and a threat scenario with the CISO
  • Ran a controlled exercise against production systems
  • Ran a purple team workshop so defenders could see every step

Result: Detection gaps were fixed, playbooks were updated and the board received a plain-language report.

GoAgile strengthened our cybersecurity posture with enterprise-grade protection aligned to the rigorous security and compliance standards our sector demands. Their team has been a dependable partner on a mission-critical engagement.

10Questions answered

Managed Security FAQs

What is a managed SOC?

A managed security operations centre is a team of analysts, supported by tools and processes, that monitors your systems for threats around the clock, investigates alerts and responds, delivered as a service.

What is the difference between SOC and MDR?

A SOC service monitors and escalates, leaving response to you. MDR adds active investigation and containment on your behalf, within rules you agree.

Are managed SOC services regulated in Saudi Arabia?

Yes. The NCA licenses managed SOC providers in two tiers. Government and critical national infrastructure organisations must use a Tier 1 licensed provider, and others can use Tier 1 or Tier 2.

How quickly can monitoring start?

Most organisations begin receiving monitoring within a few weeks, after log sources are connected and detections are tuned to the environment.

Can you work with our existing SIEM or EDR?

Yes. We operate platforms you already own, including Splunk, Elastic and Microsoft security tooling, and add a data lake where retention or cost is a constraint.

Where is our data stored?

We agree this with you up front. In-Kingdom and on-premises options are available to meet PDPL and sector requirements.

What reporting do we get?

Daily operational summaries where needed, monthly service reports, quarterly reviews and audit evidence mapped to the frameworks you report against.

How much do managed security services cost?

Pricing depends on the number of assets and users, log volume, services included and response levels. We provide a fixed monthly price after scoping.
