Cloud, Identity & NetworkSecurity Engineering

Cloud, identity and network security in Saudi Arabia: architecture that assumes a breach

We design, build and manage the controls that decide who and what can reach your systems: identity, network, cloud, endpoint and data protection, brought together under a zero trust approach.

  • Zero trust roadmap built on what you already own
  • Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Azure, Okta and more
  • Built and run by a team that operates infrastructure too

01Overview

What is security engineering and zero trust?

Security engineering is the design and implementation of the technical controls that protect identities, networks, cloud workloads, endpoints and data. Zero trust is the guiding principle: no user, device or network is trusted by default, and every request is verified against policy before access is granted.

Traditional security trusted whatever was inside the network. Remote work, cloud services and stolen credentials made that assumption unsafe. Zero trust moves the control point to identity, device health and the data itself.

We apply it in stages, starting where risk is highest, and build on the platforms you already own, rather than selling a rip-and-replace programme.

06Saudi Arabia and the GCC

Designed against Saudi control sets

Architecture decisions trace back to the frameworks you report on.

  • NCA

    NCA ECC and CCC

The ECC covers identity and access management, network security, endpoint protection and data protection. The CCC adds cloud-specific controls.

  • CST

    CST cloud rules

Cloud workloads follow the CST Cloud Computing Regulatory Framework, including data classification and hosting.

  • SAMA

    SAMA operations and technology

Banks and insurers must demonstrate mature access control, network security and data protection.

  • PDPL

    Local data rules

PDPL and sector residency shape where data and keys sit.

Tier-1 Saudi bankPrivileged access management

Privileged access and MFA for a bank

Shared administrator accounts and weak remote access were audit findings.

  • Deployed a privileged access vault with session recording
  • Rolled out multi-factor authentication
  • Introduced joiner, mover, leaver workflows

Result: Audit findings closed and administrator activity became traceable.

Healthcare groupSecurity architecture

Endpoint, email and cloud protection for a hospital group

Fragmented tools left gaps between endpoints, email and cloud workloads.

  • Consolidated endpoint and email protection
  • Hardened the cloud landing zone
  • Centralised monitoring

Result: Fewer gaps and one view of risk.

Retail and e-commerce groupNetwork security

Firewall refresh and segmentation across stores and data centres

Flat networks and ageing firewalls let one infected till reach back-office systems.

  • Standardised next-generation firewall policy across sites
  • Segmented stores, payment systems and back office
  • Moved remote access to zero trust network access with device checks

Result: Incidents stayed contained to one segment, and rule reviews became routine.

10Questions answered

Security Engineering FAQs

What is zero trust?

Zero trust is a security model in which no user, device or network is trusted by default. Each request is verified against policy using identity, device health and context before access is granted.

Do we have to replace our existing security tools?

No. We build the roadmap on what you own, and recommend changes only where there is a gap or a clear saving.

Which vendors do you work with?

We design and manage solutions on Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Microsoft Azure, Okta, Sophos, Bitdefender and others, and recommend what fits your environment.

How long does a zero trust programme take?

It is a multi-year journey delivered in phases. The first phase, usually identity and remote access, delivers value within months.

Can you manage the controls after building them?

Yes. We offer managed services for firewalls, identity operations and endpoint protection, linked to our SOC.

How does this relate to NCA compliance?

The NCA ECC defines controls for identity, networks, endpoints and data. Our designs and evidence map to those control areas.

What does it cost?

Cost depends on scope and tooling. We give a staged estimate after the assessment so you can fund the highest-risk phase first.
